Tied by Mike “LI Flies” Ozkaya, right here on Long Island, NY. These “slim deceiver” flies are a small, sparsely tied variation of a classic Lefty’s deceiver. This is a great deceiver to use for sight fishing on the flats for stripers, especially when they’re feeding on small juvenile sandeels. The slim deceiver also is a perfect pattern for blitz fishing for False Albacore, Bonito, and Stripers when they’re feeding on “white bait”. These flies are tied on a strong #2 Gamakatsu SL11-3H hook.
