The Madd Mantis Cherry Poppa is like the classic Madd Mantis “Oh Poppa”, however it features a wider profile and larger cupped face. The wide, cupped face throws a lot of water when popped, and makes a lot of fish attracting commotion. Even more-so than the original design. These poppers dig in very well, and don’t have the tendency to roll out like many others do. This size is a great inshore/big game crossover. The focus in making the Cherry Popper was to make a super durable popper that throws far, does not tumble when worked in rough seas, is not too heavy to throw all day, and doesn’t break the bank. What we ended up with was a floating popper with a reputation to catch the biggest of fish when all other baits fail to produce. It is an excellent popper for GT and Tuna Fishing, but the smaller sizes also works for roosterfish, striped bass, bluefish, jacks, and many other species.
We offer these either with inshore treble hooks, or with heavy duty big game treble/inline single hooks and split rings.

The Madd Mantis lures are okay, but I expected more for the price. They work, but there are better options out there.
